Christmas 2009
Christmas was tons of fun in our house this year. Mason was so excited for Santa Clasue to come and leave him presents. Morgan put on a good show of being interested for mommy and daddy. Mason was a really good boy this year with not messing with the presents under the tree but when Christmas morning came he wanted to open all of the no matter if they were his or not. After opening all the presents and playing for a while and eating too much Christmas candy, we made the rounds to grandma's and grandpa's houses where the kids were spoiled even more with presents and candy. We had a wonderfull Christmas and look forward to the new year!

4 Months Old
Morgan turned 4 months old on December 11th. We took her to the doctor for her 2nd round of shots. The shots went much better this time. Her legs are a bit more chunky now and she hardly cried at all. She weighs 13 lbs 9 oz (49%), 24.5 inches long (61%) and her head circumfrance is 16 inches (41%). She is right on track for her milestones. She is trying to roll over and is coming very close. She is cooing and smiling and laughing and is becoming more verbal. She can now start rice cerial. Here are a few shots of her first time with "food".

Mason is such a big helper!
Mason loves to help his daddy do things. This time he wanted to help shovel snow. We bought a Mason sized shovel so he could help. It has snowed quite a bit lately and Mason has been really excited to play in it and eat it.

It's Christmas Time!
Putting up the Christmas tree is always so much fun in our house - especially this year. Mason has wanted to put up the tree for about a week but we had to wait for daddy to be home so he could wrestle the tree into place. Mason was a pro at putting the ornaments on the tree. We had lots of fun decorating, listening to Christmas music and drinking hot cholocate or in Mason's case just milk because hot chocolate is too hot. Mason is really excited for Santa to come this year. He is now old enough that he is understanding the whole concept.

Happy Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving in Oregon with Shane's family. It was Morgan's first time seeing most of the family. It was also her first road trip and first time in 3 new states (Oregon, Washington and Idaho). Shane and I were a little apprehensive about driving the 800 miles to Oregon with 2 kids. The last time we attempted this was when Mason was 4 months old and he hated being in the car so Needless to say it was not the best trip the first time. Since that time we have flown but we thought it would be too much trouble with 2 car seats and out luggage and all the stuff we always bring back with us - so we drove. And...it wasn't so bad after all. Morgan traveled like a champ. She would wake up for her feedings and be up for about an hour and then go back to sleep for a few hours. Mason traveled pretty well too. Just give him a dvd player with a new Currious George movie and he was set. We also broke the trip up over 2 days so it was more bearable for all of us. We had a great time visiting every one. Mason had lots of fun playing with all the kids. Thanksgiving dinner was great as always and as always ate way too much.
I had to document Morgan in her Thanksgiving shirt the says "Thankfull for Mommy"

3 Months Old
Morgan turned 3 months old on November 11th. She is so happy and smiley (eventhough I can't really catch a good smile on camera). She is a wonderful addition to our family and we can't imagin life without her. Actually it is somethimes hard to remember life before kids but we love it. Morgan is so sweet and mellow and agreeable. She sleeps all through the night and she is one a perfect schedule. She is so adorable and we love her!

Trick-or-Treating
We took Mason out trick-or-treating after we finished carving pumplkins. Last year we were only able to go to a few houses before Mason got tired so this year he wanted to go to a lot more. After the first few houses he figured out that all the houses were giving out candy so he wanted to run up to all the doors. Shane really got a workout chasing after him while I pushed a sleeping Morgan around in the stroller.

Pumpkin Patch
Shane and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch in Kaysville. It was the purfect time to go. It was in the afternoon while most kids were still in school and the weather was really nice and warm. Mason loved running around finding the perfect pumpkin with daddy. He also liked ridding in the wheelbarrow. First he picked out a little pumpkin for Morgan and one for himself. Then he and daddy went into the field to fin two big pumpkins. I was carring Morgan in the Snuglie and she didn't like it at all! She wasn't happy until I took her out. Overall it was a fun afternoon and I know Mason can't wait to carve the pumpkins with daddy.

2 Months Old
Morgan was 2 months old on October 11th. She had her 2 month well baby visit on the 12th. She was 23 inches long (74%). She weighed 10 lbs 15 oz (52%) and her head circumfrance was 15 inches (32%). She had to have 4 immunizations which were not fun at all. I hate when babies have to get shots. They look at you like why are you doing this to me. She was so upset after her shots that she went to sleep for a few hours. After she woke up the injection sites were really swollen and painful. She cried for a while which really upset big brother. Mason was so worried about her and was trying to give her toys to make her feel better. After some Tylenol and a bit of moving around on the floor she was feeling better. I thought she looked so cute with the bandaids on both legs. I hope by 4 months those legs will have gotten a little more chunky so the shots wont hurt as much.
