Shane's Birthday

Shane turned 35 today. We had a family birthday party earlier in the week so Mason said we should get daddy cupcakes. Shane likes ice cream cakes so I got his some ice cream cupcakes. We put a candle in one and sang Happy Birthday. Mason alway has to be in the middle to help blow out the candles and then he has to lick the candle.

I had to take a picture of my three kids!

Morgan's Big Day

I had been getting a little tired of people refering to my baby girl as a boy. Like old men in the store saying what a cute little boy or the guy that came to look at refinishing my cabinets asking if I liked have two boys (he didn't get the job). Or even people at church calling Morgan a boy even though she had a dress on. So after enduring these kind of comments for a few months I decided it was time to get her ears pierced. I told Shane I was going to get it done this week but I wasn't going to tell him the day because I knew he would freak out and there was no way he was allowed to come with me. So yesterday I packed up the kids and went to the Gem Smith to have Blaine pierce her ears. Grandma Crook met us there so she could take Mason for a donut so I didn't have to worry about him. I picked out the earings and Blaine wiped Morgan's ears with wipes which she did not like at all. Then he marked her ears and by this point I was getting nervous. Then Blaine pierced the right ear and then the left and Morgan screamed so loud. I felt like giving myself the world's worst mother award for purposfully hurting my child. Thankfully she only cried for out a minute and then decided she was ok. It wasn't even as bad as getting her shots at the doctors. And to top it off she just looks so cute. Even daddy is ok with the end results!
Later that same night I ran my finger along Morgan's gum line and there was a tooth. Her very first tooth! I knew she was getting close and now she has a razor sharp tooth to scare me with when she is eating. I think the time is fast approaching for her to start formula - if only she would take a bottle!
Look at those beautiful blue eyes and her long eyelashes! Hope she keeps the blue eye color.

Mason's Queen Room

Mason loves the movie Cars. He especially loves Lightning McQueen whom he refers to as "Queen". For Christmas Santa brought Mason a Queen toybox and a Queen table and chairs. These items were a big hit with Mason. I saw a Queen toddler bed set at Target and thought maybe he would sleep in his own bed if it were Queen. Daddy was on board with getting it because he is usually the one that has to sleep on the floor by Mason's bed for part of the night. We bought the set and I washed the sheets and made his bed while he was outside playing with daddy. Once the bed was made daddy told Mason to run inside and see his surprise. He came running in his room and yelled "my new queen bed!" He was very excited and has been sleeping in his own bed by himself and he doesn't even come upstairs in the middle of the night anymore which makes for one happy mommy and daddy!

7 Months Old

Morgan turned 7 months old on March 11th. She is the best girl ever! We have so much fun with her. She is a full fledged roller now. She also sits by herself pretty well. She liked to play with her big brother and is starting to take toys away from him instead of the other way around. She wants to be with her mommy all the time and it starting to like daddy a little bit more. We love Morgan so much and have lots of fun with her around!

Its All Part Of The Plan

So you know it is time for spring and warmer weather to arive so more time can be spent outdoors when your 2 1/2 year old proves to you that he watched too much tv. Mason likes to watch Disney Chanel and there is only so much playing with toys, coloring and reading books to do so he gets to watch tv. On Disney chanel there is a show called Special Agent Oso. Anytime unexpected things happen to Oso he says "Its all part of the plan, more or less". Well yesterday I was on the computer and Morgan was playing on the floor by my chair and Mason was busy pulling the couch coushions off the jumping on them. He climbed on the side of the couch and fell of the edge in the corner and he got up and said "Its all part of the plan, more of less". I almost died laughing. Like I said before its always nice when your child lets you know they watch too much tv.

Mason has quite a talent for building forts. This alows me a little time to make dinner or take care of his sister.
